Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) O-rings have the same shape as general synthetic rubber O-rings. High-temperature resistance - the use of working temperature up to 250 ℃.

Working pressure: ≤40MPa;

Temperature: -180~+260°C

Medium: practically applicable to all liquids, gases and chemical substances.

Applicable environment: chemical industry, petrochemical, oil refining, chlor-alkali, acid production, phosphorus fertilizer, pharmaceutical, pesticide, chemical fiber, dyeing, coking, gas, organic synthesis, non-ferrous smelting, iron and steel, atomic energy and the production of high-purity products (such as ionic membrane electrolysis), viscous material transport and operation, highly stringent health requirements of food, beverage and other processing and production sectors.



Installation of PTFE O-Ring


Since the surface of PTFE O-ring is easier to scratch than that of rubber, special tools (the same as rubber O-ring installation tools) should be used for installation. Before installation, the O-ring should be soaked in boiling water at about 100℃ for a few minutes, to be softened and quickly stretched and loaded into the groove, at this time the diameter of the elongation rate should be 8% to 10%, the maximum shall not exceed 20%. When the need to cross the maximum diameter of the shaft so that the stretch rate exceeds this value, the O-ring should be heated to 316 ℃, and then quickly stretch over the maximum diameter of the shaft mounted in the groove, and then cooled. And then the O-ring fitted with the whole part or equipment heating to do a "heat treatment", O-ring will not occur larger plastic deformation, and can ensure that the required amount of compression deformation. Of course, the best way is to use a combination of mounting grooves. At this time, the sealing ring only needs a small amount of tension can be smoothly installed into the groove, disassembly is also very convenient.
